On completion of your booking, you will be emailed an e-ticket containing a barcode and booking reference number. You will be required to bring your e-ticket with you to show upon arrival. You may print a copy of your e-ticket or show it on your smartphone. If you don’t have a printer, you can simply make a note of the Booking Reference Number and bring it with you as well as some photographic ID.
As a working college and cathedral areas of Christ Church, such as the Hall and Cathedral, close when they are being used for private events, services, exams or meals. Sometimes closures occur at very short notice but we aim to finalise our opening times one week in advance. Tickets are therefore available to book on a weekly basis and will be released each Thursday for the following week.
You may buy up to 14 tickets per session. If there are 15 or more people in your party then you are eligible to receive our group rate and we recommend that you book your entry time in advance through our Groups Co-ordinator. Please visit the Groups section of our website for full information.
Christ Church is one of the most popular places to visit in Oxford. Queues often form at our visitor entrance, Meadow Gate, throughout the year and we cannot always guarantee entry. By booking online you will avoid the long queues and be able to enter via our fast-track lane at peak times.
Please note that at our busiest times queues may form inside Christ Church for the Hall and Cathedral. We do our best to minimise this and maintain visitor flow.
E-tickets may only be redeemed once. If you have purchased tickets for multiple people in one transaction you will all need to enter together.
If you are late and miss your entry time we will do our best to accommodate you at the next available opportunity but cannot guarantee entry. Because online tickets are only sold for times when everything is open, if you miss your booked entry time you may not be able to visit some areas of Christ Church.
No, we regret we are unable to issue refunds online.
